Our game takes its name from the Babylonian Emperor, Nebuchadnezzar II. Reigning from 605 to 562 BC, this emperor expanded the borders of the country from Syria to Egypt. Besides his military prowess, he played a role in the construction of many historical buildings, including temples, roads, and irrigation canals. He is famously known for commissioning the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, for his wife Amytis.
