After playing as Empress Emily Kaldwin in the opening section of the game, the player can choose to continue the rest of the game sequentially as Princess Emily Kaldwin or the hero Corvo Attano from the first game. The player can also opt for a stealthy approach or choose not to, potentially finishing the game without killing any enemies. Although the producers haven’t revealed specifics about the gameplay, they have indicated the presence of a ‘third’ path. Similar to the first game, the player will strive to rescue the Empire of the Isles from ‘otherworldly threats.’
